Head on Camellia. Here is a shot from my pre-macro days. I did a whole series of head on shots like this. I used a junked out oven door for a flat surface with an old turtleneck for a backdrop. It was an overcast day which almost elminated shadowing. The short zoom I had then featured a macro mode that allowed me close enough for the shot. But I knew then that a dedicated macro would be needed for more serious floral shots. Nikon N8008, 35-75mm and tripod. Film--Velvia.
