LINKS

Here are some of my favorite links.

Photographers

Art Wolfe.  One of my favorite nature photographers. I saw him at the Great American Photography weekend workshop held at Grandfather Mountain, NC in the fall of 1995. He was great! Very funny and accessible.  He wowed everybody with his 1500 slide presentation.  Great technique and composition.

Pat Costello.  Weekly photos for the Juneau, Alaska area. Very nice shots. Juneau is indeed a nice place for nature photography. Check out the archive.

Liang-Wu Cai.  This guy is not a pro, but his work puts the pros to shame!  Great sharpness, light and compositions. Good info on the N90s for those that are interested.

Easy site navigation.  Go to "My Color Book."

General Photo Links
http://www.digiteyesed.com
Here's a nice site for getting free, high quality desktop images.  There are photography portfolios featured and they do web hosting as well, among other things.

http://www.photo.net
Great general photography information site.  Plenty of news and user reviews.

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/
Excellent site for the still and digital photographer.  Lots of good tutorials on image processing in Photoshop.  Other articles on scanning, lens sharpness, digital darkroom, photo printers and so on.  You can learn a lot here!

http://www.photozone.de/
Plenty of lens and camera reviews and comparisons here.

http://www.steves-digicams.com/
Great source for digital camera news. Very current. Good picture databases. Many reviews of all the major and minor digital cameras.

http://www.photo-guide.com
Neat site with tons of photo links.  Looking for something special?  Go to photo-guide and you might find it.

http://cameraquest.com/classics.htm
A very good site to go to for Rangefinder information.  The best I've seen.  Updated regularly. Very good guides on buying used rangefinder gear and what to look for in used cameras.  Good reviews of rangefinders too, including the new Konica and Voigtlander cameras.  Good histories on the Leica models and obscure off brands too.

Photo Companies that I do business with...
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
This is my main one.  New York's finest photo mail order company. Excellent prices and service. I buy all of my film from here because of the low prices and I can order as much as I want. I get my printer supplies and other camera accessories here.  They have a good mail order service through their web site.  No delay on personal checks either.

http://www.porters.com/
Great service and fast shipper. Prices are way too high on basic items, but hard to find
things can be found here at good prices. Always having some kind of sale. I no longer
buy my film here as it is  much cheaper at B&H (sometimes by as much as 50%!). I do buy lots of obscure photo items from them. They are the source for that kind of stuff.

http://www.keh.com
KEH. I've brought a lot of good used gear here. If an item is marked "excellent plus"--that's KEH talk for mint. Great service. Excellent costumer service. Great repetition.

Travel Photo Sites of Note
http://www.mars.dti.ne.jp/~daisy/
Daisy Planet. Here is a good travel page by my friend Daisuke Hayashi. Some excellent
pictures of the Mayan ruins such as Tikal and the Inca ruins at Machu Picchu.

My Cousin's site for free VB programs.  Nice little clocks and other small programs to help you out.

So much stuff!  Place a link here or find something neat.
